Conditions Treated

The conditions we work with.

Open Chair Psychiatry & Mental Wellness provides telepsychiatric medication management for adults across Ohio. The conditions below are the ones most commonly treated. Many overlap; most patients arrive with more than one. The full picture of you matters more than any single label.

What this practice doesn’t treat.

Open Chair Psychiatry focuses on adult outpatient medication management. There are real and important things this practice isn’t the right fit for — and being honest about that helps you find the right care faster.

Active mental health crises. If you are in immediate distress, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, experiencing severe symptoms, or losing touch with reality, please call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or go to your nearest emergency room. Crisis care requires a higher level of support than telehealth can safely provide.

Substance use disorder as primary focus. While substance use often overlaps with mental health, this practice doesn’t serve as a primary substance use treatment provider. If you’re looking for medication-assisted treatment for opioid use, a recovery program, or comprehensive substance use care, we can help you find an appropriate provider.

Court-ordered or forensic evaluations. Evaluations for legal proceedings, custody disputes, or court mandates are outside this practice’s scope.

Children and adolescents. This practice serves adults age 18 and older.

In-person care or higher levels of treatment. If you need partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, or in-person evaluation, telehealth medication management isn’t the right fit. We’ll always help you find what is.

Ready when you are.

Booking takes about two minutes. No referral needed. Most major Ohio insurance accepted.
